KyberClassroom gives teachers real-time control over student devices during class.
Starting a Session
- Navigate to the Classroom page in the sidebar
- Click "New Session"
- Name your session (e.g., "Period 3 Biology")
- Select a mode:
- Monitor — Watch student screens, no restrictions beyond normal policy
- Focus — Whitelist mode. Only allowed sites work. Set the whitelist when choosing this mode.
- Restricted — Extra blocking. Adds social media, gaming, and streaming blocks on top of normal policy.
- Click "Start Session"
During a Session
You can:
- View all enrolled device screens in real-time (Screens view)
- Lock/unlock individual or all devices
- Push a URL to all devices (opens in their browser)
- Send a text message to all devices
- See which students are on-task vs. off-task (color-coded borders)
Ending a Session
Click "End Session." All temporary restrictions are removed and devices return to their normal filtering policy.
