Open My requests. It lists everything you have sent, newest first, with the request number, copy count, when you sent it, and a status.
Statuses
- Awaiting approval. Your department's budget holder has to approve the cost before the copy room sees it. The page names who it is waiting for.
- Ready. In the copy room queue, waiting for staff to release it.
- On hold. The copy room has paused this. If they gave a reason, it is shown.
- Printing. Released and moving. This covers the whole time between release and the job coming off the printer, including any hand finishing.
- Printed. Done. If the copy room uses pickup shelves, the page says which shelf.
- Failed. The printer did not complete it. The copy room will see this and can try again.
Pickup
When a job finishes, the copy room can print a cover sheet and put the work on a numbered shelf. "Ready for pickup on shelf 3" means exactly that. If your school has email notifications on, you also get an email when the job is printed, including the shelf number, and another if it fails.
Cost
If your school charges departments for printing and has chosen to show teachers the cost, each request shows its price. Otherwise no price appears anywhere.
Sending it again
A finished request has a Send again button. It creates a new request with the same documents and settings, and only asks for the number of copies.
If you need a change to a request that is still in the queue, contact your copy room. They can change settings, hold it, or cancel it.
