Stations and the station board

The Finishing page in the side navigation is the station board. It lists every hand-finishing step waiting to be done, so whoever runs the laminator or the binder does not have to read the whole print queue to find their work.

What is on it

Each item names the job, the service, the quantity and any detail the teacher added. The page heading says which stations have work, for example "Work done by hand at laminating".

  • Ready to work on. Jobs that have finished printing and are physically waiting. These come first.
  • Still printing. Jobs that will need finishing once they come off the printer. Nothing to collect yet.

Items marked Urgent are flagged by the requester. Items marked Started are in progress.

Working an item

  1. Choose Start when you begin, so others know it is being handled.
  2. Choose Done when the finishing is complete.

When every finishing step on a job is done, the job becomes ready for collection and the teacher is notified if your school has that turned on.

Using it on a wall display

The board refreshes itself every thirty seconds and works on a touch display. It pauses refreshing while you are pressing a button so the list does not move under your finger. Pull down to refresh by hand.

If the page says Nothing waiting, there is no hand-finishing work right now.
