Setting up the Parent Portal

The Parent Portal gives parents visibility into their child's online safety at school.

What Parents See

  • Safety Score — A 0–100 score reflecting their child's browsing safety
  • Activity Summary — Total requests, allowed, and blocked counts
  • Recent Activity — Last few browsing events (domains only, not full URLs)
  • Alerts — Any safety alerts triggered
  • Category Breakdown — What types of content their child accessed

What Parents Do NOT See

  • Full browsing history
  • Other students' data
  • Teacher or staff activity
  • The ability to change policies or settings

Enabling the Parent Portal

The Parent Portal is accessible from the customer dashboard. Parents need to be invited by the school administrator.

Privacy Considerations

  • Parents only see their own child's data
  • Data shown is the same as what appears in school reports
  • Schools control what level of detail is shared
  • FERPA allows parents access to their child's education records
