I cannot sign in / "no access"

Work through these in order.

"That email and password did not match"

KyberCopy shows the same message whether the email is unknown or the password is wrong, so it cannot tell you which. If you normally use Google, choose Continue with Google instead. Password accounts exist only by invitation. If you were never invited, you have no password to enter; ask your copy room administrator to invite you or turn on Google sign-in.

"Could not reach Google. Try again, or use a password."

The hand-off to Google did not start. Try again. If it keeps failing, use a password account if you have one, and tell your administrator.

"You are signed in, but not set up here yet"

Your sign-in worked but this account is not a member of this school. The page names the account and the school.

  • Check the account. If you signed in with a personal Google account, sign out using the link on that page and sign in with your school account.
  • Check the address. If you also belong to another school, the page lists it with a link. A bookmarked wrong subdomain is the most common cause.
  • Otherwise ask whoever runs your copy room to add you. It takes a few seconds. Once you are added, reload the page and you go straight in.

For administrators: why a school account was refused

Automatic joining only works when, on the Access tab of Copy room settings, Let school Google accounts join automatically is on and the person's email domain is in Allowed domains. The match is exact or a true subdomain; evilsaracademy.org does not match saracademy.org. With auto-join off, people reach this copy room only through an invitation.

Otherwise invite them from People. Invitation links last one week and work once; if theirs expired, send a new one.

Sent to "My requests" instead of the queue

That is not an error. Your role is Teacher, so KyberCopy sends you to your own list. Ask an administrator to change your role if you work in the copy room.

Still stuck

The sign-in page says: "Trouble signing in? Contact your copy room administrator." They can see your membership and role under People.
